hi, my name is Lulu.

I’m an artist, designer and software engineer based in New York City. I was born in China, grew up in Calgary, Canada where my family immigrated, and studied Computer Science at UC Berkeley.

I love creating visually immersive art that tell stories and evoke emotions in others. Throughout my life, I’ve loved drawing and writing, and storytelling through art is one of my passions. Over the past 5 years, I’ve created my own clothing brand, Yuugen (yuugen.co), sold original digital art prints, and created games that I loved. I’m currently working on a children’s book project.

In my career, I previously worked on software for the Xbox ecosystem @ Microsoft. Currently, I’m a software engineer at Meta.

Everything I’ve created and learned is thanks to the amazing people who have supported me throughout my life. Thank you to my wonderful teachers K-12 in Calgary, the one post-high school game developer internship (shoutout Lloyd Summers and your horror VR game :)), and my college professors. you guys made all the difference.

Beyond the visual, I dabble in filmography, love traveling to new countries, and ski in the winter.
